"MariNaomi is the author and illustrator of the award-winning graphic memoir Kiss & Tell: A Romantic Resume, Ages 0 to 22 (Harper Perennial, 2011) and the upcoming Turning Japanese (2D Cloud). Her self-published zine,Estrus Comics, ran from 1998 to 2009, and her work has appeared in such publications as I Saw You: Comics Inspired by Real Life Missed Connections, Cheers to Muses: Contemporary Works by Asian American Women and Action Girl Comics. She has been a regular comics contributor to TheRumpus.net (Smoke In Your Eyes), SFBay.CA (Frisco al Fresco) and Tapastic (Said while Talking), occasional teacher (CCA MFA in Comics program, 2013), and frequent performer (live painter and visual reader, including a 2011 tour with the literary road show, Sister Spit).
Mari's paintings and collages have been featured in such venues as the De Young Museum and Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, as well as HGTV's television show That's Clever!"
